I don't usually like loose leaf texts, but I feel like Campbell Essential Biology Simon 5th Edition. He's right about the size, the textbook barely fits in a regular sized binder (maybe a centimeter of the book sticks out). The pages don't rip out as easily as the other reviewer claims. If you get a big enough binder (with enough room to easily turn the pages), you shouldn't have a problem. I currently have my book in a 1 1/2 inch binder and I have to be a bit careful with the pages when turn them or else they fold a bit and the holes stretch or tear a little. Except for the text book not fitting within the binder, I think everything else is typical with loose leaf books. I would recommend you put the Campbell Essential Biology Simon 5th Edition in a relatively large and sturdy binder, especially if you plan on keeping it in a good condition to resell.
